I’m telling you… the walls came down… the dust from 100 years ago, resettled in new places, and that was just the beginning!
We stood there as a group of my husband’s favorite women, and talked about everything we envisioned, and this multi talented husband and father, was making our visual dream come true, one deconstructed wall after another.
What an amazing day, when the UN-doing was done, and the DOING began!! There is a time to tear down, and a time to build up that which was torn down!
While our building was being transformed, we were busy with our Art! There were days where the creativity just flowed, and days where we stepped forward into the unknown and attempted new things! It was and is an ongoing adventure to grow and continue to be inspired by the beauty around us!
Do you ever envision something for your home… you can see it clearly in your mind, but translating it into reality is very much a different and challenging thing? Have you ever started a project, only to be pulled away by the realities of life in the form of a person who calls you Mom or Dad? Well, so have we!! With 8 little ones in our lives, we definitely paint a few strokes and fill a sippy cup!! So we are all in good company!
This last week we have removed the signs of construction and realized with grateful hearts, how beautiful our place is! We are truly amazed at the details and how antique lights from Nashville and Cincinnati have married so beautifully with new fixtures!
We have loved adding the layers of all styles of paintings, chunky yarn, dyed fabrics, watercolor plushies, music and sparkling soft jewelry… need i go on??!!!
We have rolled up our sleeves, danced in this space, laughed with giddy hearts, taken pictures and held back details for this magic moment!!!
Our hearts welcome you with sincere happiness! It’s like this is our home, and we want to share it with you!! I hope you find it as much yours as it is ours!
